About the Author
Kathy DeJoy-Genkos and Scott DeJoy are siblings who reside in Auburn, NY with their families. Their father, Frank DeJoy, was a Firefighter in the Auburn Fire Department with over 31 years of service at the time of his retirement in 1999. Scott followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the Auburn Fire Department in 1994. He was an Assistant Chief at the time of his retirement in July of 2015, with over 20 years of service.

A great tribute to the firefighters who have protected the City of Auburn, NY.

Very informative book. This book covers the history of the Auburn Fire Department from the founding of the various volunteer companies, to the formation of a paid fire department, up to today's department. Great anecdotes and heart-wrenching stories.
