Very practical but a bit inconsistent

The author provides many practical tips for home brewers that fill in the gaps from other standard home brewing guides. Unfortunately, there are inconsistencies in his descriptions that detract from a perfect score.
For example, his fastbrew method is very interesting. It's a deconstruction of the process of boiling wort that reduces time spent without sacrificing taste or health. The recipe that illustrates the method says to include two cups of hops tea, then says to use three cups, but concludes by saying one cup. Maybe it is just me, and I missed something, but it seemed very inconsistent.
In any event, this book is a great addition to a home brewer's library.

some parts of the book are not very clearly explained; specially the tables are hard to follow. It introduces concepts that are not previously explained in the book and I had to look them up on the web.

Excellent for Experienced Brewers

I recently received this book as a Christmas gift accommodating my first ever brew kit (Mr. Beer). At the time I had never brewed beer before and had only cursory knowledge of the basics of brewing. As a beginner, this book was somewhat difficult to dive into as many of the topics were about fine tuning the beer making process to unlock "Master Brews".

But since December, now having 2 brew days under my belt, I better understand many of the topics in the book. I find that if I'm having an issue such as a stuck fermentation or off flavors in my beer that I can use this book to diagnose the issue and prescribe a remedy for future brew days. This book along with others such as the The Complete Joy of Home Brewing by Papazian and Brew the Beers You Like by Leeds will stay in my library as references for future brewing endeavors. I find that this book well accommodates The Complete Joy of Home Brewing with updated information and techniques as well as going into more detail about topics that Joy skims over.

A few other minor complaints:

At times the book seems a bit disorganized and could use some better categorization to assist the entrepreneuring brewer when looking for tips and tricks.

There are issues with misspellings which can be numerous that, at best, distract the reader and, at worst, confuse them.

Some of the graphs and charts are overly complicated and not self explanatory enough to be used off hand. Some of these graphs or charts come with example test cases which also have confusing errors or are overly complicated. A solution for future works might be to include a URL for an interactive graph/chart that can be used to solve test cases or be used for personal brewing calculations.

Aside from these issues, I can state with full confidence that this book is a great reference book for an experienced brewer. This book encouraged me to begin and continue brewing with the hope that in the future I will produce commercial quality brews at a fraction of the cost.

This book is a must have for any experienced brewer wishing to improve the quality of their homebrews.

This book is quite practical and easy to understand because of plenty of photos and figures. It describes car electrics of classic cars which are really classic. I think it is a good book as for a so called "classic car owner."
I am not a classic car owner; I have mistaken to buy this book while I need some knowledge about cars around 1990. But some parts are instructive even for me because they include common tips and techniques.

Very easy read that I couldn't put it down

Very easy read that I couldn't put it down. The book shows the amount of work needed to put this together. Love the footnotes giving all scenarios and why one was selected as part of the Prophet's story. I hope there is a second book picking up where this left off soon.

A Riveting Retelling of the Parables of Abrahimic Faith

“It’s like a giant puzzle, scattered around. And you have to put the puzzle back together.” This is how Sheikh Arastu describes the process of writing the book. Reading through the narrative that he wove from the myriad references of scripture and narration, I was transfixed by the beauty of the parables that he retells. Though I’ve heard bits and pieces of every story throughout my childhood, I have never seen a comprehensive account of the lives of the prophets as related by Islam’s Immaculate guides. Throughout the book, Sheikh Arastu emphasizes on the theological underpinnings that guided his assessment of his sources, as well as the morals and lessons that are derived from each tale. He supplements his writing with discussion of Biblical and archeological narratives of these great men and women of antiquity. All in all, Sheikh Arastu weaves a riveting narrative of these age-old tales that will captivate any reader.
